September 26, 2009 Tropical Storm Ketsana, locally known as Ondoy, has reached the north of the Philippines and has hit the capital region around Manila hard, displacing people and causing loss of life. Torretential rain is causing epic flooding. Ketsana killed at least 277 people and the homes of nearly half a million people were inundated.

A big part of the rice and vegetable emblements has been destroyed in the northern reagion.
Only slight flooding reached Mindanao and the Feeding center has not been endagered.
