In the Rescue-a-Child daytime program the parents can bring their kids in the morning and pick them up before evening. The malnourished kids with growth deficiencies are fed nutritionally four times a day in small portions to save them from dying.

The malnourished children of the poverty stricken Bucana area are weighted regularly to check their state of health.
Ivy looks like an ordinary child on the picture, but she is third degree malnourished and has stunted growth. She is almost three years old, yet she weighs only 7 kilograms at a height of 76 cm. Ivy had good luck, a sponsor was found for her. She can join the Rescue-a-Child program and her health is stabilizing step by step.
