with her parents and two siblings are living in a seven square meters shanty. They cook, eat, and sleep in the same space. Despite of their poverty Marites encourages her children with a sense of humor to uplift them when they are hungry. Meara was born normal in weight, but she became ill when she was eight months old and is slowly slipping into malnutrition. The price of milk and rice went up due to high gasoline price that the family had a very hard time to meet the basic nutrition they need. Her smile is fading everyday as the days go by.

Rescue-a-Child: The purpose of this program is to help rescue the malnourished and handicapped kids from dying. They would be fed nutritionally four times a day in a Feeding-Centre.
